OK y'all - yes that is right, I said y'all!!! The computer is broken again so until that is fixed I really won't be able to post any pictures. I usually don't post a blog without pictures because I am not as entertaining as my other blogging friends so I figure you won't want to check it out unless you see cute pics of Robbie! I do have some cute ones to post as soon as I can. My dad and step mom are coming for a visit today so we should get some cute pictures of them while they are here.
My week at my base is coming up, I am getting nervous for it but hopefully all goes well. I guess it is only a week in Charlotte so I can't even begin to complain because of all the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines that we have overseas! After that is Kyle and Meghan's wedding which is going to be amazing. They are getting married on the beach at sunset in Charleston and then hosting a reception in a beach house one block off the beach. It is going to be such a fun weekend. The week after that I will be in Philadelphia for work, the week after that I will be in California and the week after that I will be in St. Louis. During this time Kevin is taking finals and also taking an additional class during his three week summer break. We are a very busy family right now but we are enjoying every minute that we have together. Robbie is amazing us every day with what he is learning and doing. He has one tooth that has poked out over his gums (but not all the way up yet). It is on the bottom and just too darn cute. He is so close to crawling. He is in the stage where he will be on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. He will take the first plunge but then immediately drop down to his belly. So close! His hair is getting so long but I refuse to cut it yet. Everyone keeps making comments about it and strangers always think he is a girl, but I just can't cut it yet. I used to think long hair on boys was icky, but I totally get it now. I said "I will never do that with my kids" way too much because I am not eating all of those words!
I wish everyone a great weekend. We are planning on spending some good quality time with Dad and Cheri. Lots of grilling out and some trips downtown. I want to show them the downtown farmers market on Saturday. Hopefully we can get some fresh fish - a company from Charleston will catch the fish and bring it up to be sold on the same day (yum yum!).

Bad Blogger
I know, I know, it has been two weeks since my last blog. Our computer at home is broken, again, and I don't like to blog from work. I thought I better give a quick update though. We have been fairly busy. Kevin is really enjoying his classes - they has been very challenging and fun. He is competing for one of two x-ray intern slots which will really help him in practice. Robbie is up to his usual tricks. Lots of rolling, spinning (on both belly and bottom), babbling, etc. His nickname at school is Thumper because he likes to lay on his back and kick his feet hard against the floor - at home it sounds like the house is about to collapse because it is so loud! A little bit of an exaggeration there, of course, but it really is louder than you would expect. He also will mimic Kevin's facial movements, meaning if Kevin smiles he will smile in return; if Kevin looks surprised so will Robbie; and if Kevin blinks Robbie will blink too! Of course I have been trying to get him to do this with me and he just sits and looks at me!
Kevin and I had our first date (well, first successful date) since Robbie was born. We had such an amazing time and vowed to not let seven more months go by without another one. I declared Saturday my Mother's Day so we started at the local farmers market (bought some fresh pasta which I am dying to try), then went to the art festival and then took a bunch of pictures in the park. It was an amazing day. The art festival was fantastic - they had everything from paintings to sculptures plus lots of live bands and great food. Then on Sunday we attended church and Kevin surprised me by taking me to one of my favorite restaurants. It is located in the park near the waterfall and is basically surrounded by a garden. We sat on the balcony overlooking the bridge. It was amazing! I will never forget my first mothers day, surrounded by such serenity and beauty - and of course my two wonderful boys! Kevin's family joined us for a BBQ at the house that evening, so all in all it was a wonderful weekend.
I have an upcoming trip for work next week, followed by a highly anticipated trip to Kevin's grandparents Jean and Robert (that's right, Robbie Sr!!!) whom we affectionately call Granny and Papa. We are so excited about that trip and are looking forward to taking Robbie into their pool. We think he will love it! The following weekend my Dad and Step Mom are coming for a visit. We can't wait to see them and think they will love all the cute things Robbie is doing. The following week will be spent at my military base and then it is Kyle and Megan's (Kevin's brother) wedding in Charleston! Wow, we really are busy people. Sorry about the play by play action in our calendar, but I figured it was either an update or nothing until I can post more pictures! ha ha. Miss all of you and hope you are enjoying your spring!
